In December 2022, Cranbrook Country Park won a BALI Award, the largest landscaping award in Europe, in the category “Grounds Maintenance – Free Public Access”. The Council delivers grounds maintenance services across Cranbrook in partnership with Tony Benger Landscaping Ltd. The British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) is the leading trade association representing all landscape professionals.
In July 2024, Cranbrook Country Park awarded the coveted Green Flag Award as it is officially recognised as one of the country’s best parks. The Green Flag Award scheme, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy under licence from the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of green spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
In August 2024, Cranbrook won the Saving Devon’s Treescapes Award for dedication to local Treescapes. The Saving Devon’s Treescapes Award was established by Devon Wildlife Trust to recognise the efforts and great work by local groups, parishes and organisations within Devon to make local treescapes more resilient for the future.
