Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer
The Town Clerk is the Council’s Proper Officer and under a statutory duty to carry out all the functions required by law of a local authority, including serving statutory notifications, advising the Council to enable evidence-based decision-making and implementing decisions. The post holder is also the Council’s Responsible Financial Officer.

Deputy Clerk
The Deputy Clerk deputises in the absence of the Town Clerk and is responsible for the Amenities and Planning Committees, among other things.
Andrew Chapman-New
Ranger
Andrew is responsible for the management and maintenance of every piece of public open space in Cranbrook which is owned by the Town Council, including the Country Park, verges, hedgerows, sports pitches and sustainable urban drainage features – and the improvement of those areas.
Queenie Yuen
Communications Officer
Our Communications Officer keeps residents, businesses and visitors informed about public services, construction works, any changes and developments in the town and how those may affect them.
Sophie Anderson
Property Administrator
Sophie is in charge of the management of the Council’s properties, including bookings for the main hall and the meeting rooms in the Younghayes Centre and the Ingrams sports pitches.
Lydia Chan
Finance Officer
Lydia fulfills all the back-office functions relating to finance, including invoicing, financial returns and credit control.
Rebecca Boyle
Office Administrator
Rebecca provides administrative support to the Town Council and is the first point of contact for members of the public, customers and tenants.
Mandy Yu
Housekeeper
Mandy ensures all Council properties are well managed and maintained for our staff, hirers and visitors.

Handyman
Paul ensures all Council properties and public open spaces are well managed and maintained for our staff, hirers and visitors.
